Lauren Abraham150x150Lauren Abraham is a junior at The Potomac School in McLean, Virginia. Lauren represents her school in Model Congress, which is a national organization that brings students from high schools across the country to simulate the congressional process of writing and passing legislation (This year, Lauren’s bill was on the privatization of the US Postal Service.) Lauren enjoys several other leadership posts at her school, including President of Girls Learn International, an organization that promotes education for girls around the world and Head Peer Leader. She is also in tennis team, is a photographer for the school yearbook, and was selected as a student contributor to Potomac’s blog Outside of school, Lauren was chosen to be part of the American delegation to the Seeds of Peace Program, whose goal is to bring together high school students from the Middle East and Southeast Asia to learn conflict resolution strategies. She lives with her family in Great Falls, VA.
