In 1987, Larry founded The Weber Group, which within a decade became the world’s largest public relations firm, Weber Shandwick Worldwide. In early 2000, Larry became chairman and CEO of Interpublic’s Advanced Marketing Services Group, where he built and oversaw an $800 million group that included the world’s top public relations, healthcare communications, branding, research, and entertainment and experiential marketing firms.

Larry is the co-founder and chairman of the Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange (MITX), the world’s largest interactive advocacy organization. He has also served on or is currently on the Boards of Directors of Yankee Group, VERTRO, Communispace, Museum of Science, and Compete.  He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Council of Competitiveness. His second book, business bestseller Marketing to the Social Web: How Digital Customer Communities Build Your Business, was published by John Wiley & Sons in June 2007 with a second edition in February 2009. His third book, Sticks & Stones: How Digital Business Reputations Are Created Over Time…And Lost in a Click, was published in July 2009. His most recent book, Everywhere: Comprehensive Digital Business Strategy for the Social Media Era, was published in March 2011, the Chinese/Mandarin publication slated for July, 2012.
