PostalVision 2020/7.0 Event to Include Virtual Reality Experiences
As always, PostalVision and new technology are “virtually” synonymous…our past events featured drones way before they were envisioned for package delivery; rapid packaging innovation and community intranet developments; and last year Starship’s ground delivery robots were tooling up and down the halls of our event! This year at our March 21-22, 2017, “Business NOT As Usual” event, we will again feature the latest technology developments and innovations taking our ecosystem by storm, with two different Virtual Reality experience opportunities for attendees!
First, John Puterbaugh, BlueSoHo (a division of Quad/Graphics) will treat attendees to a live virtual reality experience to discover the new “media mix” and how it is re-shaping the mix of digital experiences and physical mail. Next, Mattia Crespi, Qbit Technologies and the Institute For The Future (IFTF), along with Enrique Barreira, head of Global Innovation for Dufry, will talk about ecommerce applications for Virtual Reality, as well as how posts are exploring Virtual Reality applications (and will have a live demo experience set up for attendees in the foyer area at the event!).
And of course the event also will feature more exciting and diverse speakers, coming from around the globe to bring expertise and innovation on a range of topics, but all focusing on new models in this emerging digital economy and the movement to Business NOT as Usual! Our great agenda and speaker line-up can be found here. The event will feature the following topics and focus areas:

Hear from leading experts and visionaries about the new digital economy and its impact on the global postal/logistics/delivery ecosystem, including Bhavish Madurai, Partner, Cognitive & Analytics, US Public Sector, Global Business Services, IBM, and Dr. Ruth Eberhart, Solution Owner, Industry Cloud Public Sector, SAP. New Returns/Reverse Logistics Models. Retailers are discovering customer-centric returns solutions and new opportunities are arising in the reverse logistics end of our ecosystem. Delivery by Design and Postal Policy. It wouldn’t be “PostalVision” without hearing from those charged with oversight and regulation of the U.S. Postal Service. An esteemed panel, moderated by Lori Rectanus, Dir. of Physical Infrastructure, Government Accountability Office (GAO), will re-cap key points from PostalVision’s “Delivery by Design” event held earlier this year to discuss issues around the USPS’ mailbox monopoly, as well as other postal policy issues. Panelists include the Hon. Robert Taub, Chairman, Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC); the Hon. David Williams, distinguished professor at the Schar School of Public Policy & Government, George Mason University (and former USPS Inspector General); and Ramesh Ratan, CEO, Bell and Howell.
