President and Senate Finally Act on Two Crucial Postal Appointments
PostalVision 2020 congratulates the Hon. Robert Taub for his confirmation by the Senate and designation by President Obama as Chairman of the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC). We also commend Commissioner Mark Acton for his appointment as Vice Chairman, following a unanimous vote of the Commission. Our nation’s Postal Service may not have any acting appointed Governors, but at least we now have an official Postal Regulatory Commission Chairman and a Vice Chairman to lead the regulator’s heavy work load into 2017.
Chairman Taub and Vice Chairman Acton are highly visible, respected, dedicated and well-known to the postal industry and we welcome their leadership at this crucial time when the Commission is taking on the statutory task of reviewing the Market Dominant product price-cap regime.
Chairman Taub has honored PostalVision 2020 by his presence on a number of occasions, most recently as keynote speaker at PostalVision 2020/6.0 in March 2016. And we are especially excited and honored that he will join us again on January 23rd in the role of Moderator of a debate among distinguished experts on the future of the Mailbox Monopoly. Details of the debate and the rest of the proceedings at this unprecedented PostalVision mini-conference “Delivery By Design” may be viewed here, where a link to registration is also available.
